Ours is a movement that is good for you and the environment.
Planting a tree is a fundamental life skill. Yet many of us have never learnt it or have forgotten how to do it.
The act of planting a tree, is one of the most enriching experiences you can have – Parting the soil to make space, then gently placing the sapling, covering it up and then gently watering it. It enriches you emotionally, mentally and physically!
We are on a mission to enable the planting of 80000 trees by 2030. We want people who pledge money towards this drive, to also physically come and plant a tree.
So, come join us in making a difference and finding joy while doing so.
The Taru Movement is an initiative to get more people to experience the joy of planting trees.
We aim to give individuals the opportunity to not just make the world greener through monetary contributions, but also by getting their hands dirty by planting the trees themselves. When we experience it once, we will want to do it again and again.
We want more people to experience the joy of planting trees with us.
It is easy to just make a monetary contribution to a cause. Most of the times, it becomes a transaction that we do once and forget about. But when we take another step forward and plant a tree ourselves, it becomes a memorable action that we won’t be able to forget easily.
Joy – In the experience of planting a tree yourself.
Pride – In participating in an initiative that is the need of the hour.
Satisfaction – In the fact that you have done something towards making the world greener.
Joy and satisfaction.
There is no monetary gain for us.
Whatever money we collect is directed straight to the concerned NGO.
We organise plantation drives via crowdfunding every year. Simply choose a plantation drive closest to you and contribute. You can also join us when the drive happens, we will notify you.
Thank you so much for organising this event. Felt really good to be a part of this green initiative. Looking forward to more of such sustainability drives.
Happy to help, Reuben! Glad we could partner in this good cause 🙂
Great initiative to give back to the environment!
Some water, fresh air, and sunshine can do so much to regulate our nervous systems and hormones... But gardening and spending time with Mother Earth... It helps with a process called grounding, almost like a reset of the Earth element in our bodies. After all, we're like houseplants, just with a tad more complicated emotions.
Write to us and let’s discuss how we might be able to help you.
